Are wolves already paying the price?

Not my words but the words of football writer Alex Beard at Futbol.

He is implying that Wolves are paying the price for not signing Alfred N'Diay on a permanent basis in the summer. I have to agree with him. We are missing a midfield enforcer, and against Cardiff and Huddersfield he would have been a great asset.

He was impressive last season, scoring a few good goals and showing a no nonsense approach in the middle of the park. Nevis and Moutinio, while both are excellent players, they are too much same as, while N'Diaye would have added some much needed steel to the midfield.

Nuno must have had his reasons, but the midfield is an area in my opinion that we need to rectify, sooner than later. While everyone and his dog is calling for a striker, I would place a strong midfield enforcer as a must in January.

Have to agree with that, we’re definitely lightweight in the centre, Ndiaye would be a real asset in certain games. However he played 40% of last seasons games? I suspect that would be less this year with Nuno picking the side.

Wolves have been left outnumbered in the Watford, Huddersfield and Cardiff games. Play in the face of our full backs and two man midfield and you stop Wolves. Wolves definately need someone to come in and take some of the work load of both Neves and Moutinho.

Add MGW, Saiss or Dendoncker in the middle, and go down to two up front with less width? This seems the most likely option as Nuno is essentially defensively minded.

Abbo, I agree, we miss Nidiaye and we could do with a Midfield three, It worked for Chelsea with MGW playing as a withdrawn 10. I would rotate Moutinho a bit dependent upon the opponents.
