Strange from Swansea point of view. If they could take him in Jan and he might do a job for them then why not take him then.

    There will be other interest.

We need to put our own house in order as priority. In Robbie we trust

I hear it a lot that folk aren't worried about Ayr United as Shankland will be off in January for certain. You'd think after last season (with Morgan) folk would be a little less certain but there you go. Regardless, what we do is more important.

Fingers crossed someone else nips in and takes him away. Sadly though, Ayr seem to have quite a few players who would need to be removed to weaken them enough for the likes of us and RC to take advantage.

It doesn't matter if he leaves or not tbh!

We are an absolute heap and hopefully Friday's result puts paid to this myth that Shabba has built a really good side.

Bar Safranko, Fyvie, Frans and perhaps Stanton, I wouldn't give a toss if any of that squad were to leave. Utter guff.

Na, don't agree, losing someone that scores that amount of goals would make a hell of a difference.

Ayr only just finished ahead of Raith last season. Don’t accept that they are suddenly world beaters though it didn’t go well for us on Friday.

Shankland being away would weaken them. Have to hope we get stronger as that’s only answer to how we’ll get up

He wont be staying according to todays Record.

Ayr had been hoping to find a buyer who would allow the 23-year-old to stay on loan at Somerset Park for the duration of the season as they try to blast their way to the Premiership but Record Sport understands there's no chance of that happening if Swansea's bid is accepted.
