Doubt it. Be a pretty poor CV to highlight a single match , unless it was especially noteworthy opponents. Like Barcelona or Formartine.

Well we beat a very poor Sevco team that night but I was glad to finally end the dismal run. However, those 27 years are testament to how pish we've been. Finishing 2nd in five out of the last seven trophies I suppose shows consistency of some sort...

It's not really 1 win in 27 years, we didn't play there for 4 years while Sevco was wandering through the lower divisions.

Thats what grates me. Too many are happy to nae be sh@te anymore. Thats enough. (not directed at you bogbrush) I want to be better than that. We have had the potential and with a decent couple of signings we will have the potential again

Come on Derek min prove me wrong. Prove you can take us that bit further. A win on Wednesday will be a great start

Thats nae true, a year ago this week he was off his work to speak to sevco and soul search

I was at most of them over the 27 years. The worst by a mile was the St.Johnstone semi.

I think they would to be honest. I don't think they would win the league with him but he would have them finishing 2nd. Turning them around wasn't difficult.

And I agree with that.. It's trophies that count and you would think with those five 2nd place finishes that we're very close... But in reality, and I think most fans feel this, we still seem to be incapable of getting over that final hurdle against one of the big guns. Winning can be much about the mindset of everyone involved (club, players, fans, board, local media) but none of these entities are pulling in the same direction.

I don't think McInnes was helped by the Board in the summer. I'm certain we can start winning IF the Board can set the right tone showing ingenuity in their business dealings, something that hasn't happened so far in the Milne era
