    James Scott

James Scott got a hat-trick in the 6-1 win for the reserves over St Johnstone today - took his goals well but has clearly been doing the work in the gym and at 18 is either able to contributing now, as fourth striker, or never will be. Time to get him in the 18 on Saturday.

Yes he's due promotion although he'll find Premiership defenders a lot tougher and nastier than the youngsters he's been facing so far. he has all the attributes and now just needs some exposure to first team football.

Sounds promising but I fully expect to see him loaned out to Airdrie or Falkirk or somewhere in the lower leagues before he gets anywhere near a regular start for us. Just the way it seems to go with us and youngsters.

He almost certainly shouldn't be starting any time soon but if he's going anywhere in his career by this stage he shouldn't still be behind all four of Johnson, Main, Bowman and Sammon given their combined contributions this season. Turnbull seems to have won the trust (eventually) without the obligatory loan spell so we will see.
