    Tactical Substitutions...or lack of ?

Surely having eventually (!) put the ball into the net, was it not time to make some changes. Mozza was knackered and having put in a great shift, was in need of being subbed (Barry?)
Brentford were inevitably pressing and again, was it not time to make a change to intervene ? I’m not a fan of Mears, but a swap for Barnes ?
Darren seems reluctant to use his bench unless essential.
    Is it just me ?

Nope, I think most are with you.

I think our game management is awful, it really is. You look at Brentford, and they were happy to go down and kill time before we had scored.

We should have made a change in the last few minutes to kill a few extra seconds and upset their rhythm if nothing else.

Having said all that, we created unbelievable chances and didn't take them. You can't blame Moore for JRod missing an open goal from 2 yards.

Have to agree about Mozza thought he played really well , but was f**ked with 15 to go should have been substituted. Plus their was a lot of experience on the bench last nite & their was no one who couldn't have give their all for 15 mins ,

We have a big problem with our squad, it is so unbalanced we have players who are old and lack pace(mostly midfielders) or youngsters who make mistakes Adarabioyo has cost us 2 goals in 3 games through his inexperience I'm not sure bringing Barry or Brunt on last night would have made that much difference because neither of them would have have stopped the cross coming in we desperately need to get to January and make changes to our squad.

I do think we should be making changes as players get tired. Football is a 12/13/14 man game now, especially as we often have 2 games in a week. Hoolahan is energetic and Barry can control the game well. Let’s use them.

If we were managing the game better it is possible/probable that their player would never have been in a position to cross the ball anyway. Losing 2 points in a game like yesterday is just not acceptable and as others have said the forwards are hugely responsible for not putting away sitters in the first half. That said once we got into the lead we must win the game.

I agree Yarm! Who takes the wrap though for once again not starting the best player to put the ball in the net? Hrk had one decent game against Leeds but come on - the guy is crap and for the majority of his time with us - been crap!

If Moore does not start with Gayle on Friday, then the guy is a t wat! What next - Bartley to come straight back in!!!

Trouble is Gayle is an out an out striker not a wide player like HRK is supposed to be he would have to drop Rodriguez to keep playing the same formation

Sakho (remember him) would be more of a like for like swap for HRK

But Hrk has no pace - no creativity and don't know what the feck he brings to the party! One decent game should not warrant constant starts over better players. Those missed chances last night were criminal and a Solihull Motors player most likely would have done better!

I can see Hrk starting again on Friday and Darren's chum Bartley will make a come back soon! Bet the little chap was thinking last night - how the feck can I recoup my Yen from this pile of ****e!
