Yep. I watched it again on the match highlights. An absolute stonewall penalty. No guarantee Thistle would have scored it of course

Looked like Spittal dived before Doyle's intervention...

Watch it again without the Queens specks on.

Doyle cleaned him out, no doubt about it.

yep id of given the pan likes he defo made contact and you could tell by the way doyle turned looking at the ref ,but the partick guy made the most of it too as he made sure there was going to be contact by getting his leg in the way,he defo could have avoided it and got to the ball first ,in all fairness to doyle he did stop in middle of challenge not putting his foot through it which leads me to believe that the ref didnt give it as he thought the partick player defo was looking for it .

Doesn't matter whether he lunged in, Spittal was already on his way down...

Really? If he hadn't lunged in and cleaned him out we wouldn't be discussing it, so of course it matters.

It`s an absolute stonewall penalty. I`d be incandescent if that had happened to us.

Doyle in his post match interview agreed with the decision from the referee and his assistant. That's enough for me.
Spittal should have been booked for simulation.

Spittal's theatrical fall probably swayed the referee's decision in our favour although on review it certainly looks like a penalty.
