Thread: Does the F A Cup carry much excitement for you ?

  1. #31
4th Round Replay 1978 under the lights at the Hawthorns with 37,792 watching

    Albion 3 Man Utd 2 a.e.t. Regis 2 + Bomber

Thought we had no chance when Joe Jordan did what Joe Jordan did best and put Wile out the game with a forearm smash to be replaced by Wayne Hughes.

    Happy happy days (and nights.)

No. but then nothing does. I cant shop the way I used to. Where are the ironmongers? spent a whole day looking at cheap rubbish. I miss cast Iron. The FA cup has no romance at all for me, just another chance to get key players injured.

    Exactly the same, df!
Stood by the old Handsworth Market, though I didn't know what Football was all about!
Did you go to Grove Lane School? All our Class (except 2 Villa fans) were Albion fans 4 years later, when I watched my 1st match).

Bloke in our village is a Sus*** born and bred Baggies fan. When I asked him why he told me he decided as a kid he would support which ever team won the 68 Cup Final and after 50 years of winning nothing he still is. Does about 10 games a season.

'Just think I could have been an Everton fan and won Leagues, FA cups and European Trophies' he said ruefully
