“An Aberdeen football fan who ran on to the pitch at Hampden Park during the cup final defeat against Celtic will spend Christmas behind bars.
Gavin Elphinstone, 25, vaulted the stand and made his way on to the field where he intercepted a pass from Celtic keeper Scott Bain to a team mate.
He admitted breach of the peace and assaulting two police officers during a hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
He was jailed for 140 days and given an eight month football banning order.
Elphinstone, from Aberdeen, made it past stewards but was removed from the pitch during Celtic's 1-0 win over the Dons on 2 December.”
That, without doubt, is a f ucking joke, in no way whatsoever do I condone the young loon’s behaviour, however, try getting back home thru the “well policed” areas around parkhead/Ibrox can be a c unt supporting our club, FFS he waved his scarf above his head prior to “stewards/police” trying to get the loon on the ground.
Ok petal, remanded and then 140 on holiday, are you genuinely for real considering what we have/had and in no uncertain way do put up with supporting our club being, well.....bullied on/off the pitch.......FFS, I did/do not condone the young loon’s actions, however, surely you must concur that the “crime” and subsequent punishment is over the top.

140 days in jail for the fan running onto the pitch and waving a scarf. Even if he did make it a bit trickier for the stewards and police to remove him it still doesn’t warrant a jail sentence.
The sentence is harsh.
But the bloke was a complete d1ck.
Maybe if he didn’t resist arrest he’d have got away with a large fine & suspended sentence.
