    Almiron

Reports coming out on Twitter from journalists that the deal for Miguel Almiron from Atlanta is almost done and dusted
On loan with right to buy clause at £15M

    Thoughts?

Will give us time to look at him before we buy.
    We need bodies in
I'm amazed he hasn't gone elsewhere
Could be true that the club is being sold if true

    Exactly.

However if he's as good as he appears then at least half a season may keep us up.

According to chronicle, Atlanta want something starting with a 3 before opening talks.

Since i doubt they mean £3 million it'll be something in the £30 million which there is no chance of us forking out on.

Although if it was $30 million, that is only £23.7 million. Which will still be to much for Ashley but at least it's a lower figure

Now saying they want £24m or so and they doubt Newcastle will bid due to " takeover timing rumours" .. No Shiite Sherlock .. As if we would pay £24m .. That's a 10year budget

£24 million is also roughly $30 million, so that is where the $30 million i got comes from i reckon.

It probably was £15 million when they thought only one club was interested, now there is a few the prices goes up - as you'd expect.

You're no chance we'll pay that though.

    evening all!
30 plus mill for a talented yet unproven Prem player is for all teams outside the top 8 serious dinero!
especially when you are looking to consolidate more than improve (survival).
a top 10 team would take a gamble, 1 for the future methinks, but now...

Sorry, just can't see Ashley forking out that kind of money. Also, he is an unknown quantity, he is supposedly a good player but that is in the MLS. I guess you pays your money and you takes your chances as they say.
