Magpie group cancel any future protests

Saying they don't want to be blamed when Ashley turns around and says the sale fell through because of all the protests ,they are calling it off until February
    My personal verdict on this
    Fkin spineless!!!!!

I’ve been part of the email trail Kev. There has been a lot of soul searching and when the likes of True Faith come out 4 days before and suggest it’s put off then the media jumped on it the MG has been undermined by them and they need to take a long hard look at themselves and maybe privately apologise to the MG then publicly back the change of heart.

It’s felt we are between a rock and a hard place. It is thought that if the boycott was poorly supported (as the walk in was) it would devalue the MG and with Ashley coming out on TV saying he is nearing a sale then if it doesn’t happen he’ll hang himself and the ones who didn’t support us will then (hopefully) jump on board.

It’s up to Ashley now. He knows all eyes are on him and for once he needs to carry through what he’s said.

well one thing is for sure... if ashley doesn't sell - or buy -- then a lot more should/could join in any protests

roll on feb - or maybe even end of january = depending on how things are going

ps _ I was flabbergasted at true faiths stance

    Sorry, but this is ridiculous.

I think they've lost all credibility.

It's the end, not the means to the end which is important. If Ashley doesn't sell and we have 'the usual' transfer window then there will be outrage in January which will be nicely timed for the re-start of the protests.

Damned if we do damned if we don’t. If Ashley fecks himself then we’ll ALL as a fan base need to give him it with both barrels, but that’ll mean everyone showing a bit of back bone.

As I said TF have stabbed the MG in the back the tw&ts.

I agree Ash the ball is well and truly in the slugs court

If he doesn't sell of buy players in January then even his most ardent fans can't blame the protesters for messing it up

It should surely unite the fan base in February if he's still here

Having had the day to think about it, I suppose it's just putting off a watershed moment-either the club gets sold or, if he's still here-for whatever reason-I think the majority of fans will be behind a boycott.

Personally, I don't see it as giving Ashley a chance, rather as a holding back from causing unrest to give any potential buyers a chance. If he's gone come the January window then it was worth it; if he's not then I think a lot more peopled will be prepared to act. Folk will be livid with themselves that they believed the 'potential buyers' line-fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me-type thing and that will translate into more anger directed at Ashley.
