    OT Sir Bobby Robson

Just watched the documentary about him on Netflix.
What a manager and what an absolute gentleman.

Respect is the word everyone seemed to use when they talked about him.

Thanks for posting this Pocket. Just watched it. Absolutely fascinating. I had forgotten about his continental exploits after managing England and didn't know he'd had such an impact on the likes of Ronaldo (Brazilian one), Pep and 'The Special One'.

Would recommend anyone to spend 1.5 hours watching this.

Not seen it but the one one thing that always impressed me about Bobby Robson was whenever he was talking football you could hear the enthusiasm and passion he for the game

The film also has an added attraction of featuring his first home game at St James' Park when he managed Newcastle, an 8-0 drubbing of a certain team from S6 in blue and white

He was let down badly by some young players at Newcastle.
He had some serious success in his career.
One of the old school managers.

Not seen the documentary yet, must watch it when I’m feeling better.
A book I’ve read an autobiography written after Bob Harris spent 8 years alongside Bobby Robson, it’s called....
    AGAINST THE ODDS.
It’s a decent read in my opinion, some good pics in black and white and colour. This was the second book, the first was Bobby Robson : World Cup Diary.
Bob Harris has also written books with Graeme Souness, Steve Coppell and Bruce Grobbelaar.
