    Gate Receipt Revenue Share:

English FA has installed a good system where both home and away teams for every tie of FA Cup get 45% of gate receipt revenue each. So if a lower league team hit a jackpot and they are drawn against a top premier league side away they make more money from that away game than their entire season (or in some cases several season).

Away teams have a right to 15% of home team's stadium capacity for its supporters and 15% of disabled allocated area seats too.

To satisfy FFP it's all about turnover - and this can be done by selling players, improved gate receipts or earning more in merchandise etc - so a decent Cup run can be crucial for some clubs ............ buying & trading wise too.

With the way we are playing lets draw Man City and get out of the comp, instead of drawing someone like Woking and getting beat.

Your not fooling me Alf & Beds (the two St Helens RL fans on here lol), you don't believe it will be like that at all do you. If we manage to win this tie then it will be a shock and we will have had to earn it.

See the finances table kindly shown at the top of the thread, small money and we can't afford to go any further in this. It will be a sub-standard team and performance ala Lincoln and Accy Stanley and a certain defeat. Wonder what price Barnsley?

I'm quite fond of Barnsley, I'm pleased for them and their fans that they've got an easy draw and a place booked in R4. There are quite a few teams I wouldn't want to lose to, Barnsley aren't one of them.
