    Contract renewal time

Less than four weeks until our highly sought after out of contract stars can be poached by others...who needs a new deal asap?

Aaron Taylor-Sinclair, Tom Aldred, Barry Maguire, Elliott Frear, Gael Bigirimana, Liam Grimshaw, Chris Cadden, Craig Tanner, Ross MacLean, David Turnbull, Carl McHugh, Andy Rose, Alex Gorrin, Jake Hastie, Ryan Bowman, George Newell, Curtis Main and Conor Sammon - including various loan deals in and out - are up for grabs.

Aldred, Cadden and Turnbull are the only three I'd say we should be looking to tie down and Cadden's is based on previous form/protecting our development fee as much as anything.

Of the rest, I think they need a significant improvement in form or to prove their fitness before we're signing them again. Several have shown decent moments while being inconsistent, others surely are not going to turn things round.

Our immediate need for points means January will be crucial but, hopefully sooner rather than later, summer is going to need some serious thought too.

Agree on Aldred, Cadden and Turnbull. I’d also chuck in Maguire, Tanner & McHugh as worth new deals. With Gorrin, Hastie, Bowman and Main up for debate........afraid I would show the rest the door....

No to Maguire, Tanner, McHugh, Hastie and Bowman.

Gorrin hasn't had much of a chance. Main is worth an extension.

Would be interesting to know, with our finances, who is likely to better than the players you don’t think are good enough.
McHugh is our best centre half. Tanner gave us something different before he got injured.
The most important thing is the contract for Turnbull. We need to get him tied down.

McHugh only plays cos a high earner and his sell date long expired. We play him out of sympathy = show the door. Tanner injury has finished him. Too risky = show the door. Those Robinson bought but rarely feature and listed above = show the door.

If Tanner comes back and plays like he did from Dec 2017 to his injury there's no doubt he's worth a contract. Big if though.

McHugh, I dunno, he's wildly inconsistent. He has games where he's a rock and others where he's a complete liability.
