I have to admit I wasn't there so having a proper view is always tricky - not least when TV coverage shows a replay when the ball's already up the other end and near to going in. That said I thought Tosin was getting twisted blood from Bolassie, who got round him several times. He's nota full back I know but we need one. As to the rest, I agree about the midfield, Barry did well enough but we need a playmaker and legs otherwise we'll continue to get bypassed. Villa looked a good team and we were lucky.

It was our 2nd game in 5 days, think it showed 2nd half. We are still getting used to the championship , but we ain't doing bad. We are not going to do a Leeds, Blackburn,Coventry, wolves ,Bolton and both Shefield clubs and end up going down to Division 1. A couple of players in January and we can still go up as champions. Thats probably why our midfield are so poor they are not getting coached or getting mixed messages from different coaches hopefully we can hang in there until January and make the changes that are needed as with the strike force we have we should finish in the top 6 easily and potentially the top 2.

My,my…..what an average side we are, anyone thinking this side is going up needs to give their own head a wobble.

Flat footed in centre of defence with young Tosin the best of a very suspect bunch.

Hegazy is as bad as i remembered!

No pace in midfield and a player in Phillips who can no longer go past his man to get a cross in.

J Rod pushed out too wide and too much of a luxury in this division.

We desperately need a proper centre forward like Chris Wood for Gayle to play off.

Tosin,Barnes and Gayle are the stand out players for me.

I don't see this side under this manager reaching the play offs.

Villa look like a proper side to me know and i think they'll go up automatically, they play with style and with a good structure…..i think we missed a trick with Dean Smith.
I agree with that we in many respects are and look average Mick. A few class players, esp loanees, such as Barnes and Gayle, some ok, and some has-beens.

But, what is somewhat of an enigma is that we are (still) in the play off zone, and we have now only two games to go, to be at half time in played league games. A tad bit too many games played to put it down to luck, IMO. We also know what they say about teams that continously pick up points without playing well, so we’ll have to see where we finish.
