RIP old lad. Born the same year as my dad, also a keen Notts fan, but he only made it to 75.
Jack was probably the only remaining ‘pie’ to have seen Notts in the top division prior to Sir Jimmy getting us there in the 80s. He’d have been 11 or 12 when we were relegated at the end of the 1925/26 season.

I went to Trent Bridge and was in the same class as his son John Challans who died last year in the USA. RIP Jack.....
