Proctor surely won’t be happy not getting picked week in week out?
Him and Smith together would be a real handful.

There is no logical reason why we have to play 4-5-1 every time, especially as we have no Frecks-type goalscoring midfielder. Against the weaker teams (or teams that we know will just play for a 0-0 draw) we should try 4-4-2 /4-4-1-1 and take the initiative. Proctor and Kieffer Moore played together a few times and successfully

Proctor brace Vs his old employers Bolton would be good.

Quality midfielder on loan in Jan so we keep possession a bit better would allow us to play two upfront with a bit more confidence. At the moment we,RE packing the midfield and using Smith to make it stick.
It works but we don't score the goals our play deserves.
If we had a Bannon we,d have won that easily

A draw is disappointing but looking at the league table, the bottom 5 teams including us don't have a single win between them in their last 5 games and the bottom 7 only have one win, Hull's 3-2 victory at QPR. I'd say the writing's firmly on the wall as to who the relegation battle is between and luckily for us at the moment, Ipswich, Bolton and Brentford are the (out of) form horses.

On a positive note we have lost equal the least number of games of all the teams in the bottom half of the table.

Our record against "fellow strugglers" is rather patchy - beat Ipswich, drew with Bolton (should have easily won), hammered at Brentford (ok, their manager has left now and we have strengthened our team since). If you extend that further - beat Millwall, lost at home to Hull, lost at Wigan, drew with a poor Owls team...
ie we've only managed to beat two of them so far - need to improve on that to stay up. Let's hope that we have better luck with injuries, and we're not too negative tactically.

It's a shame tha we have to dominate games just to get a draw. Just hope that this isn't ging to be a 'what if'season.

you could put a positive spin on it and say the teams below us we haven't lost too and the bottom half teams that beat us are only 1 or 2 points above us

You could do... although when described as 4 wins from 21 games, it doesn't sound quite as good...
