Who Should Be Offered New Contracts?

I have been thinking about the Newell situation. He's out of contract at the end of the season after the years option was taken.
Then I looked at the players out of contract in the summer and those that will be available to leave.
Unfortunately I don't know if these players have options to extend the contracts but if not we may be a bit short come summer. The bottom list are players out on loan.

Our contracted players that feature in the first team

Joe Mattock - contracted until 07-2019
Will Vaulks - contracted until 07-2019
Richard Wood - contracted until 07-2019
Anthony Forde - contracted until 07-2019
Jamie Proctor - contracted until 07-2019
Jon Taylor - contracted until 08-2019
Joe Newell - contracted until 07-2019
Ryan Williams - contracted until 06-2019

Our players that are out on loan.

Michael Ihiekwe - contracted until 05-2019
David Ball - contracted until 07-2019
Alex Bray - contracted until 06-2019
    Manny Onariase- contracted until 08-2019
Dominic Ball - contracted until 08-2019
    Darren Potter - contracted until 06- 2019

    Wood is here until 2020
    Proctor 2021

Warney wants Mattock to stay beyond his contract so I’m sure the club will be looking into that.
Personally I think Newell wants to view his options.

I’d like to see us give Williams, Vaulks, Purrington and Ihiekwe a new deal.

If we don’t use Ball to his potential then we might has well try to sell.
I like Potter but not sure if he’s going to get much games.

The club work in mysterious ways so anything could happen

The ones we must sign up no matter what, for me, are Mattock, Vaulks, Taylor and Williams. After that we're looking at the 'maybes'. To quote Steve Evans who quoted Alex Ferguson - if it's a maybe then it's a no.
However I personally would consider new deals for Newell, Ihiekwe and Purrington and perhaps offer Forde a one year deal.

Why a new deal for Ihiekwe?

Taylor is a big no from me. He's already asked PW for an extension and as nothing's been said that speaks volumes.

Newell way too inconsistent. One good game in ten isn't good value for money. Tone likes value for money. Spends most of his time on the bench which also speaks volumes.

Compare this to how Williams has taken his chance. World's apart.

Have to admit having doubts about Taylor. A keen and willing worker, but lacking nous when defending and not enough variation in his attacking game. Last year I wouldn't have given much support to retaining Mattock, but have to admit he has been one of our more reliable performers this season.
Williams and Vaulks, yes and yes.
