I and my family experienced this a few years ago.

It's like rain but it freezes on anything it touches. I was driving at the time in a motorhome and had to pull over because it was that dangerous. Walking in it is something special and if you're a keen photographer then you'll not get photos like this for a long time

Only happened once to me when i was out driving. I was **** scared as well. Its a lot worse than snow because it is like instant ice being laid down in front of you as you drive and it aint any better if you are a pedestrian.
