    Drones

After today what are peoples views on drones. We use them to inspect our reservoir dams and we wouldn't be with out them unfortunately people use them with no respect They need to be licensed as they're ruining people's lives .

Unless used for surveys or work purposes there is no earthly need for a drone.

A relative of mine has one and he was incredulous when I suggested they were dangerous and that he was a sad sod for having nothing better to do with himself ( which he is! )

They are the sort of thing that should never have hit the “toy/leisure” market because these sort of things always attract the morons, criminals and the terrorists.

That said,25 years ago a bloke with a shotgun would’ve blown this f Ker out of the sky in 15 minutes and 100,000 people would’ve been away on their holidays.

The way we have become so overly “health and safety” is pathetic,I’m surprised a local farmer didn’t reach for his blunderbuss and sort this out.

Hopefully once out of the EU we might rediscover our British backbone.

Very stringent licensing and control is necessary over who buys them and what they are used for. Controls over how and where they are used should be strictly enforced. I would imagine there are certain elements within society who are laughing at the way things currently are. In no way whatsoever should they be regarded as as something ‘recreational’.

Not going into protracted detail but I seriously doubt the 'recreational drone pilot' who flew one directly at me whilst I was cycling off road a few years back'll be doing it to anybody again.........

I’ve said this before the issue is more related to general bad behaviour and the law, Or the total lack of respect for it.
Personally I would like a society where everyone was ShiX scared of breaking the law or behaving badly. For the great majority of the population who are law abiding life would be so much pleasanter and safer.
All that disruption to that many people, 10 Years in prison for me , Yes
If people don’t know what is right and wrong they need to be taught or punished. Ignorance is no excuse.
Here is my wish list for crimes
Execution for Terrorists, carrying a gun. Their organs can be recycled for medical use.
15- 20 Years no early release for carrying a knife, or any weapon that can take a life.
Murder – Life no release where there was a planned or deliberate pre knowledge with intent to kill
Manslaughter – Minimum 20 Years with no early release.
Violent crime, eg robbery – depending on the victims injuries – 10- 20 Years no relase.
That will do for a start
Publish the list 1 Jan 2019 to come into force on 1 Jan 2020
There you have it Merry Xmas !!.
