    O/t long long time ago.

When I used to post on Pravda there's was a
a heated debate about the lowering of the drink drive limit.

I argued that it was a complete waste of time because it wud not lower accident levels.

I was called the usual ****e when you swim against the tide but low and behold they now want to stop motorists randomly for hee haw as they have found that lowering the drink drive limits has done nothing to accident levels.

    Headline.....Rorros in right again shocker.

Get it right up ye pravda😎

If they brought in random breath tests on Islay and they were done fairly where everybody was breathalysed it would take 50% of the cars off the road. There would not be so many potholes on the roads.
If they did it during the Islay Whisky Week which it the Whitsun week at the end of May the police would have a field day. The distilleries would have to stop handing out nips of whisky.
Random breath tests would not bother me as I never drink and drive. In fact I never have an alcoholic drink if I am driving the next day.

When I was up your neck of the woods I did notice a rather more errrr relaxed attitude.

Any idea of the actual numbers of accidents that are directly attributable to driving after a couple of pints as opposed to people just being total arseholes on the road whether drunk or not?

Nut jobs driving at 40mph on single carriageway roads like the A9 are much more dangerous than the guy that's had a couple of pints.

what a shame you have been banned from pravda. I'm sure your carefully thought out comments and wisdom would go down a treat.

Stick a breathylser machine in every golf/rugby clubhouse, no keys if the test fails. Problem sorted as it's the middle-class who are the worst for this
