    Big game Monday night...

I’m really looking forward to watching this one live on tv, should be a really close game with two battling teams that can both score plenty of goals, the fact that it’s between local rivals just makes it even more passionate and could well produce plenty of cards from the referee so both teams must keep their disapline, hope it’s a good fair game without the usual controversy that can crop up in such important games, only one thing left is to wish both teams all the best and may the best team win !

    Southport v Tranmere Rovers
    Fa cup 2nd round replay
Ko 7.45pm live on bt sport.

Funny but throws up another condndrum. Never realised Birkenhead Rovers had such an important game so close to playing us.

There was some talk about them prioritising the cup game, but who cares if it works in our favour? They were definitely pretty poor - far inferior to the likes of Oldham and Carlisle - but I also think it shows what happens when you actually defend from the front with more intensity.

NA keeps talking about getting the stats in our favour - and Saturday was the first time in a long while when we edged them: 52/48% possession; 8 (5) shots (shots on target) against 8/4 for Tranmere. We also had more corners. And the most important stat of all, 3-2.
