Boxing Day, huge test against Liverpool

We will really see where we are after the Boxing Day result against Liverpool.

Even the three games they have drawn they haven't looked uncomfortable and were more likely to win them than lose them.

Watching them on Sunday when they made a decent Manure side look ordinary was a treat.

It will be a good indicator as to how we will manage the rest of the season if we can give them a good game and a run for their money.

    Any thoughts anyone?

I think we can go in relaxed and give it a go cos we have nothing to lose.

The only real negative would be if we got howked, but nos shame in losing by a couple of goals.

Rafa will set us up to defend and with the aim of counter attacking, although we won´t have any counter attacks

Tbh, Pat, it's a bit of a free hit. Not sure we'll learn anything we don't know.

I think if we can keep it under 3 we'll have done well.

I don't think we'll really learn anything we don't know already.

We'll have to be really disciplined though.

The reason I like playing Liverpool under Rafa is the obvious connection he has with them, and as always it's good to beat your former team. Maybe Rafa is the one manager who can do something about this Liverpool team... or maybe not, and we'll lose 3-0. In which case, onto the next one.

We usually play a bit better against the top clubs, here's hoping we can hold out for a draw. Well, you have to be optimistic don't you ?
