    Who on here remembers..

Rushing back from Tannadice after another glorious victory to pick up a Sporting Post and revel in the match report and photo’s?

    Those were the halcyon days!

I used to work at No.1 in town when I was a Student and picked one up on the way home afterwards (from the petrol station on the Forfar Road at Mill o' Mains) on a Saturday night. Mostly for the club notes mind.

As a kid I remember canna wait to get home and kick a ball around going through the moves and goals from that days game in my head then getting the Sporting Post delivered and reading all about it. Used to love the photies of the action.

Like golddust. More often than not they were sold out, especially if both Dundee teams had won.
Also had whole 3 hour VHS tapes with nothing but United highlights off Sportscene and Scotsport. Over past 3 banter years it would be award winning slapstick comedy.

I was in the shed for that game, I remember at the final whistle we gave Roy Bain’s a standing ovation for keeping it to 7, he returned the compliment by giving us a clap.
