    O/T Roma influx Rotherham

Just seen a programme on tele with the above title.
We have one of the biggest in the U.K.
    And I can understand why.
Family in question all get into a bus and somehow travel through Europe and get to Rotherham.
No job and no N.I. number.
Dad gets in a van picks up two pieces of scrap metal, then signs on a self employed.
    Gets full benefits N.I. number . claiming £40.000 /year.
    No joke just seen it
He says he is very happy here.
His daughter and husband have just arrived.
Nice work if you can get it

Usual goodwill at Xmas from Crash-
I take it that he's personally seen the benefit claim details..
Interesting story in today's Advertiser, his local newspaper, that he seems to have missed - ex national head of UKIP has to to pay £40000 in damages to an Asian Rotherham council worker, who he falsely accused on the internet of child grooming. Dodgy UKIP political leaders, eh Crash?

    The programme was on today.
The amount of benefits claimed was from the man in question .
He was very happy with the situation.
Why go off at a tangent?

    Just for clarity, we have the legal authority(under EU law) to deport any EU migrant who;

    1. Doesn't have a job
    2. Doesn't have sufficient funds to sustain themselves
    3. Doesn't have comprehensive personal health insurance

Now, given the gov't's continuous bleating about immigration since 2010, an election yea rwhen they promised to reduce immigration to tens of thousands, but the reality is that immigration has continued to rise year on year under the same gov't, you would think that we would be sorting those out who arent contributing, wouldn't you?

Number of EU immigrants deported = zero, zilch, nada, none.

On top of that, i'd just like to point out that it is FACT that immigrants as a whole have given a NETT contribution to the UK, there's always gunna be cases where some are flannelling the system, as in the case given(though i wouldn't know the facts of that case) maybe if the gov't actually meant what it says then they'd start to deport these people, eh?

If you want to start a thread about that then feel free, I haven’t got the paper yet so like others may not have had chance to have seen it.

By the way there’s a few who haven’t seen the club statement by the looks of things on here aswell.

    Just pointing the fact out.

Even the most left leaning, liberal cannot deny that the influx into Rotherham has led to ghettoisation. There is zero integration between communities and in just a couple of decades there are parts of my town that I simply don't recognise and, frankly, I wouldn't feel comfortable walking around.

This disruption caused to my son's school by the massive influx of Slovakian s makes me angry. Am I allowed to be angry? Or does being angry make me racist?

Trust me, I'm no raging fascist or racist, but the policy has simply failed! I doubt those who formulated the uncontrolled migration policies have seen any change at all to their communities or indeed to their kids education.

At last, a decent post with no ulterior motive!

As you probably know i'm a socialist, but as you point out, the numbers and the rate at which they've arrived is always going to have a big effect on the local population, how could it not? I'd disagree with 'ghettoisation' and also zero integration, what i would definitely say though is that it is entirely natural for folk to stick 'to their own' wouldn't you think? safety in numbers, that insecurity you feel isn't exclusive to the English, you know.

My daughter works in a Rotherham comp, which has high numbers of differing nationalities, and you know what, she finds that kids of all nationalities and ethnicities are just kids, same issues, same behaviours, some good, some bad, as per any other school. What she has told me, and we talk often about this as she is responsible for behaviour issues at the school, is that most of the kids from Eastern Europe all tend to have a really strong family ethic, they may not be as 'cultured' as us, but when we've chatted it does remind me of how the UK was when i was growing up....

    Off on one again.
    Did I mention kids?

I was on about the ease to crack our benefit system.
But if you are ok with that , fine.
Plenty of people already here are having benefit cuts.
This bloke was sending £8oo home every month.
    beyond belief.
