Are fans forgetting that Brownlie will return in January. Hopefully this will give NayWins another option in defence...

Brownlie nowhere near fit hence trying to keep Semple. Semple is by far superior to Brownlie so let’s hope Sheffield United allow it to happen

I thought Brownlie would be ready sooner rather than later...

Can a manager ever be "delighted" with a draw at home ?
Fair result yeah but delighted? We're trying to target top 4.

Agree with his other assessment that although Ayr had the majority of the possession they never really troubled us and we had the best couple of chances.

To be able to hold Ayr Utd on Saturday was a magnificent result, - especially considering we were missing Norman and Harkins.

On top of that, Dykes should have squared the ball to Dobbie in the first half for a tap in, - while Dobbie was too gentle with his opportunity in the second half, - trying to stroke the ball into the net instead of just whipping it past the keeper.......so Queens could have won the game 3-1, - or possibly even 4-1 with that peach of a free kick by young Murray at the very end of the match.

Having said that, - if Ayr had had their shooting boots on, - they should have been out of sight. All in all though it was amazing to get a point against such a free flowing team, - and all the credit must go to our defence who worked their socks off to keep Shankland and co at bay.

To a man, Queens put in a terrific effort and what was so pleasing for me was that the tide had turned in the last 5 minutes and we were pushing Ayr back.

Regardless of the supreme effort, - at least 3 signings are required in the January window. My perennial request would be to have Ian McShane brought in from St. Mirren to control the midfield and feed the likes of Stirling, Dobbie and Dykes with passes that they can run on to, - as opposed to the aimless high balls.

The Scottish Championship is unbelievably tight this year, - and some people are bemoaning the fact that Queens might not make the play-offs.........tragically we could easily make the play-offs at the other end, as Alloa are quietly sneaking up the table.

Adding the right players to the squad in the January window could still see us getting a top four play off place......getting the wrong players could see us relegated.

Excellent summation of the game Jardi and very much in line with my own. We would also appear to agree that the season with now rest upon the January signings to bolster the size and hopefully the quality of the squad. Get it right we will be in the mix come the season finale get it wrong it could be a right relegation fight seeing those bigger names currently at the rear end of the table. Looks like the usual roller coaster which we have ridden many a time with Queens. Mon the South.
