Aye he won't come cheap BT, but think on, if we signed Kevin we could afford to offload Hendrick, and use the wages freed up to help pay Kevin.

Because we would negotiate ourselves onto a plane full of ISIS held hostages and not off it.

You are probably the least skilled person in the art of sarcasm I have ever come across sinkov.

    Sinkov ,
I think only on the part of WBA were we subjected to this and I think if they had been in the championship another year we would probably have got Jay Rod and Dawson early doors, but if they have been sensible previously and have money plus the £160 million over 3 years might as well have a go at the league before you sell the assets that can get you back to the promise land.

We have never been that lucky previous to Premiership monies so Austin for example had to go to try and balance the books.

I’m interested to see what happens with Rigg if he’s managed to negotiate deals now and the summer if we survive or if it’s just a wage added to our bill that makes it even harder to sign players for us going forward. ( especially if we were to be relegated).

It’s a bit out of character for our club / board really as we’re gambling before we know what’s happening most un like us tbh.

Probably pick him up for decent money now and Dyche will love him , run , run , run and run some more.
I think we need a bit more than that now going forward.

This is the reality of what we are competing against and bear in mind that this just deals with Man City and we know that Chelsea have around 50 players out on loan and there will be other top clubs who have hoovered up a lot of talent who are not even figuring in the PL.

Brahim Diaz who made 4 appearances for Man City, made a move to Real Madrid on Monday for £22 million.
City's record for doing this in maximising the amount received for players they have developed at their academy shows just how far behind many other clubs are and jsut what an uneven playing field it is.

This is a group of players with just 33 starts between them and how much City have made from their sales..(courtesy of the DAily Mail).
1 Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester) - £25.4m (20 starts) moved on to Leicester in August 2017.
2 Brahim Diaz (Real Madrid) - £22m (4 starts) Played 49 minutes of Premier League football for City.
3 Angus Gunn (Southampton) - £13.5m (0 starts) Southampton made an offer for him and City sold him on without a single competitive appearance.
4 Enes Unal (Villarreal) - £12.7m (0 starts) City snapped him up for £2million. Loan spells followed but no appearances for City.
City brought Enes Unal in from Turkey and he did not start for them before leaving the club
5 Jason Denayer (Lyon) - £9.9m (0 starts) Impressed for City's youth teams before moving out on loan.
6 Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund) - £9.1m (0 starts) Sancho stopped turning up for training and they had to move him on. Sancho was a highly-rated prospect but exited City with issues occurring behind the scenes
7 Pablo Maffeo (Stuttgart) - £8.8m (3 starts) Spent two years in the academy but was brought into the first-team by Manuel Pellegrini, making three starts in total across cup competitions and Europe.
8 Rony Lopes (Monaco) - £8.8m (3 starts) Moved to City from Benfica after coming to Europe from Brazil.
9 Karim Rekik (Marseille) - £7.5m (1 start) Came to City in 2011 from Feyenoord. Karim Rekik joined City from Holland and had loans at Portsmouth and Blackburn before exit
    10 Angelino (PSV) - £5.6m (1 start)
11 Olivier Ntcham (Celtic) - £5.5m (0 starts) Ntcham refused to sign a new contract at boyhood club Le Havre and instead moved to City for €1m.A key player for Celtic, Olivier Ntcham spent two years on loan at Genoa before leaving City
12 Seko Fofana (Udinese) - £4.2m (0 starts) He had a year with the academy before he moved to Fulham. Moved on to Udinese and has established himself as a fine midfielder in Serie A.
13 Bersant Celina (Swansea) - £3.8m (1 start). Had loans at Twente and Ipswich before Swansea brought him in permanently in the summer.

Total - £136.8m for 13 players who collectively made just 33 appearances for City and not many were in the PL.
