Apparently Cardiff and Burnley are after Matt Phillips
I think the 3 players we can’t lose are Barnes, Gayle or Phillips

Really need to hang onto him

Andy King from Leicester wouldn't be a bad call, as long as it's not a swap for Barnes!

Could someone please tell Moore we have Sam Field and Rakeem Harper, young hungry players keen to do well, players for the future, Albion players. More loan signings are not going to do us any good, we need to build a team for the Premiership, can anyone see Lai getting his purse out to fund 8-10 new players next season.
Yes, we are doing well this season but it is a disaster waiting to happen regarding the loan players.

You do make a very valid point Bomber. If I had my way there wouldn't be loan deals. In other words, 'you pays your money and you takes your chance'. However, we do have the loan system and it needs to be used with caution. Barnes has been a great success but as you say, he isn't our player and could well be on his way back to Leicester. It's not just the loan system that is holding our youngsters back. Why pay wages to players that are free agents, for example Mears and Sako? They haven't exactly 'pulled up any trees' since joining us. Surely playing some of our youngsters would have been of greater benefit.

Valid point Leicester mate, i think you will see some fringe player playing on Saturday with one or two first teamers in the team as well as on the bench , so we will probably be out of the cup at the first attempt although it's only wigan ,
