Although, in fairness to you, and taking into account a rather oblique way of looking at it, we did actually score 7 goals at those two grounds combined. We also scored 3, 8, 5, 1 and so on

A Leon Osman, Robbie VdL or Ian Taylor type figure, a big striker option and a little bit of luck with the left backs - we’ve got at least five - and we’re in with a good shout imo.
Despite being soundly thrashed by two of the likely top six we’ve also won at Norwich and the Hawthorns...scoring seven in the process.
With over half the season and - on paper at least - an easier set of fixtures to come for a side that should know each other better and have rarely been out of the top six...we won’t be far away. COYR.
RA you are correct in the type of player e need But your not going to get the without spending specially a big forward Not due your understanding it the lot is empty Until we get more out we can't even sign a loan I've said all along those still in contracts ain't going to move just to please the club Some have 18mts left and some till June and unless the club agree to pay them off ( which because of ffp we cant) we stuck with them is Anya Thorne Martin Johnson Butterfield etc

What I do understand is Thorne has gone...to Luton. Martin is off the bill at Hull. Anya is wanted at Birmingham. Pearce has gone to Millwall which leaves Butterfield and Johnson the latter of whom had a role to play until the Stoke incident and could still, imo, do us a job.
That means, of the players you’ve mentioned most are largely off the wage bill for this season and Lampard is openly talking of bringing players in.
If you’re right than we might as well all pack it in and resign ourselves to the fact we’re going nowhere until the contracts you’ve mentioned expire in 2020 at the earliest. If you’re right the best we can hope for, this season and next, is survival and then go again in 20/21. Fortunately I suspect there may be a little more to it all than that...bloody hope so anyway.

RA Yes Thorne and Martin may be gone but they are definitely not of the wage bill Lampard is not talking of bringing players in his stock is answer is ( it is what it is ) Anya to Brum will be surprised if that happens they are only allowed to sign one player has to be a loan with max wage £10,000a week That still leaves. Johnson Butters Ledley on big money
