McNeil seals the Gawthorpe Black Hole

I know it's early days yet, but already we can see the benefit of continuous development of our recruited youngsters.

I watched this kid (McNeil) intensely last night, he is a slippery young pup and boy does he want that ball!

Three or four others are ready for EPL blooding I believe. The Gawthorpe Black Hole is finally sealed.

Dwight is signed until 2020 with an extra year's option on his current contract.
I have watched him over the last couple of seasons and he really shone in the Youth Team and was quiickly moved up into the Development Squad where has progressed well.

It has been great to see his introduction to the first team this season and he is clearly growing in confidence and I am sure that SD will keep a close eye on his development within the squad. He looks a real player in the making and has put the disappointment of rejection at Man Utd firmly behind him.

Hmmm, one lad seems to have escaped it's gravitational pull. I'm not convinced it's sealed yet though, if I was a youth team player I wouldn't be going too close, it'll still have you.

Despite your valid pessimism sinkov, I think we have turned this particular problem around.

I have been unable to watch the Youth Team this season, however, I have been to many matches over the last few years and it was noticeable that there was a big improvement in quality last year and a few of the players have stepped up into the Development Squad this season.
It was an area that needed addressing and I think that is is certainly on the up at the moment, however, it does take time to right the wrongs of the previous few years. Will we see Ali Kioki and Daniel Agyei feature this weekend?

Is it really Gawthorpe? We have for some time been taking players from the Manchester big two ie Mee, Trippier, Keane and now McNeil.
