GG can only act on orders given to him by the owner of the club if the owner wants a buy out negotiated into a players contract then they put one in IF he had one then you can not blame the new owner for the sale of said player as much as it's hurts some posters, the previous owner sold players (eg Winnall) with a buy out closes in in fact sold a good championship team and made millions the new owner as sold 2 Bradshaw and Potts.

It's usually the player who insists on a transfer release clause rather than the club owner. It is said that it is common now for players to refuse to sign if a release clause is not included. It is not usually in the club's interest to have a clause in a contract which may well reduce the fee they can get when selling.
I'm not too sure we can blame Cryne (as is the default position by some on here) for this one.

The Consortium have seen the departures of--

    Potts est £1.5 mill
    Bradshaw £990,000
    Knasmullner £495,000
    Mallan £180,000

In addition contracts for such as Yiadom, McCarthy, Pearson, Hammill were not renewed and several loan players eg McBurnie returned to parent clubs or players have been sent out on loan.

(Main incomings have been Dougall £338,000, Styles £500,000, Woodrow yet to be revealed, Bahre loan, Moore £765,000, Pinillos unknown

So we made £750k on Potts
    £240k on Bradshaw
    £120k on Knasmullner
    Lost £120k on Mallan.

Not exactly multi million £ transfer deals are they? That's where my grievance against the current ownership derives from. They have the money to have us a top end Championship club, perhaps higher.

No ambition lets just float along until sumat better pops up.

Would get £6m back next year with promotion, but that wont happen without our best players.

Well there's a connection with Harsley and the fact we've played em in the Checkatrade Trophy and Stendel will have had a good luck at some of their young talent that night .

Seems pretty feasible does that .

I would be most interested to know, what is the end aim in bringing in a loan player Would it be with a view to a permanent deal?, plus who the hell starts these rumours because most of them are just that .....rumours & if they don't happen they simply just fade into history like dozens more
