I realised what a farce all these border controls were last year when we went on a cruise from Puerto Rico, still a US territory. We flew out via Philly with the usual hour and a half wait at immigration for all the fingerprint, passport checks etc. Coming back I was expecting the same pantomime as we entered the US at San Juan. A porter asked if we wanted him to put our bags on his trolley as we joined the back of the immigration queue, which wasn't that long to be fair, before I could say no he picked our bags up and was off with them past the queue. He took us down to a lone immigration officer who looked at our passports, asked if we had any foodstuffs and then waved us through. And that was it, an hour later we were on an internal flight in the US after just one question. Border controls are a bloody farce, they're just playing games with us.

The East Germans had to dismantle their wall because way too many people were going over it, under it and around it. Trump might be better off spending $5 billion and pay the destitute and desperate to stay in Mexico!

Trump is still attempting to blackmail the Democrats into coughing up the money for his wall by denying 800,000 federal workers their pay cheques. Nearly a million federal employees face increasing hardship without pay, whilst all US government departments are underfunded and understaffed. Ironically, border control is being jeopardized as services including airport security come under increasing strain. Only person I can see with TDS is the orange buffoon himself!

Good isn't it? No doubt we will pour in some Foreign Aid to help those people who are struggling because their President is stopping them working.. Better still, we could offer a job to those working in border control so that they can man our borders after Brexit, after all, they make it bloody difficult for us to get into the USA when we visit so they would be the ideal people to empoy!

I thought the wall was going to be free for America, and the Mexicans were going to have to pay for it. What's happened, has the Donald gone soft on Mexico, why are they not stumping up, they're the root cause of the problem anyway. They're the ones that are causing Trump into this continuation of Obama's border policy.

Never short of rubbish when I click onto one of your political rants BT.

Anyway, not being infected with TDS I don't take much notice of what the Donald says, does or tweets, so a genuine question, what has happened to his demand that Mexico pays for the wall, has he backed down on that, or will he bill them later ? I honestly don't know.
