You surprised me there CiB, I'd forgotten it's January, the window's open, and we can actually sign players.
Bournemouth have signed Dominic Solanke for 19m and Nathaniel Clyne on loan until the end of the season.Getting the business done early with PL standard players recruited.
We will probably leave it until the last day of the window and sign some PL has been or a Championship standard striker to keep Vydra company on the bench.
Just shows the difference between a club that wants success and one that plans with relegation in mind. What is our new head of recruitment doing.....

Aren't they bankrolled by a Russian billionaire ? Hmmm
Your on it exactly right tbh.
Surely if we are going for someone it’s better to get it done now so they can have 3 weeks of intense Dyche training instead of them coming 30th and missing out for February
Maxim Demin owns 75% with US Based Peak 6 Investments the remaining 25%. He only paid £850.000 for the club in the first place and is reportedly worth £1billion. At least he attends all home games having paid £5m for a house at Sandbanks.
This small Club mentality of Burnley has got to stop, we have the money, the only way we are going to stay a PL Club and compete is to sign these sort of players, raise the wage ceiling a little bit, get rid of over paid players we don't need (Hart) and start acting like a PL Club instead of pretending and hoping.
Frankly, I would not be happy if we spunked £19 million on Solanke. I do not understand the negativity on here. We are actually holding Barnsley to a goalless draw at the moment.
I also would not be happy giving £19 Mill for Solanke BT, but we have the money so why not phuckin spend it on someone who can improve the team/squad, like I said on the Barnsley comm thread, " 2 League One teams balanced " regardless of the changes we should be beating League One sides and at least playing better than School Children, its pathetic.
Yes CIB, Garlick is holding BFC close to his chest like a child going to bed with its comfort toy.
