QPR - v - Leeds United - FA Cup 3rd Round **Matchday Thread**

    For those who care.......😏

    2pm Sunday KO.

Queens Park Rangers will assess Joe Lumley and Darnell Furlong before Sunday's FA Cup tie at home to Championship leaders Leeds United.

Rangers will also check on defender Toni Leistner's fitness because of a groin issue, while striker Nahki Wells has been suffering from a dead leg.

Visitors Leeds are set to recall midfielder Lewis Baker, with a number of first-team regulars being rested.

Captain Liam Cooper and striker Patrick Bamford both remain on the sidelines.

    Match facts:

Queens Park Rangers will face Leeds United in the FA Cup for the first time since February 1987, with the Whites running out 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Ian Baird and Brendan Ormsby.

Leeds won 3-1 on their last visit to Loftus Road thanks to a Kemar Roofe second-half hat-trick in a Championship match in December 2017. QPR have lost each of their past five FA Cup third-round matches, last reaching round four during the 2012-13 campaign.

Away from home, Leeds have lost three of their past four FA Cup third-round encounters, last beating Cambridge United at this stage back in January 2017.

    1 - 1.

to prove he wasnt disrespecting the competition by choosing the U23s

Ironically, 7 of those 11 could still play for the u23s based on age

weirdly I'm looking forward to this match, it will be good to see how the young lads do, everyone has clambered for Clarke to start a match, well here you go, you got your wish

Harrison as a number 9 striker, this will be interesting, hes not a bad player, this will be a different test for him

a chance for roberts in the number 10 role behind harrison, it might be that those 2 interchange throughout the match as roberts is a more natural striker, we shall see

a chance for baker to show what hes about, again, brief glimpses of what he can do so far, needs to step it up a few gears here

once he settled into the game I thought Davis had a good debut, im sure pearce would have been in contention but hes been injured

shackleton gets the nod at right back but now bryce hosannah has got back into playing again, i wouldnt be surprised if marcelo keeps an eye on him

remember theres also coyle and denton gaining experience out on loan so we are looking decent at fullback

chance for big halme to show what he can do, another impressive young player, has the height for a good centreback, lets see if he can command and lead a defensive line

alioski has been in good form as of late and deserved his goal for his recent efforts, his work rate will be crucial to how we do tomorrow

ayling will go in at centreback and will be captain for the game, hopefully an improvement on his form will appear as hes looked hit and miss sinhce coming back

BPF has yet another different defence infront of him, another challenge for the young GK, if ayling can keep wells and hemed quiet then hopefully our young defenders and goalkeeper will be ok

forshaw looked dodgy in his last match, and was the main reason for us conceding the first goal, he needs to step it up now as he is normally a very reliable player

Marcelo has faith in all his squad, we should too!

It will be interesting to see if Clarke can do 90 minutes he looks knackered after 40 minutes - prove me wrong lad. The last thing we need is a draw, Stoke got one today and will probably end up playing just before we meet them in the league.

Happy to win, looks like Wells is out fr them plus a couple of others, guess they need a rest too.
