Hardly a surprise. One move that did surprise me was John Sheridan quitting Carlisle who are on a damned good winning streak and in the playoff positions to go, apparently, to Chesterfield in the Vanarama relegation zone.

Can see the snake ending up at forest before the seasons out, good win against Leeds granted but that's only bought him a limited amount of time for sure

Good, although as usual it will have collateral damage on coaching staff on 'normal' wages and probably did no wrong. I'm all heart me

I hope he takes over from Karanka and gets the Dogs relegated. OK not much heart

Just a shame Stoke beat us during his brief tenure

Don't understand the hatred towards him, he had us in the playoffs last season and 45 minutes from Wembley

People are ripping him for selling Hughes, yet the previous season we were mid-table with him in the side

I'd have him back here in a heart beat, he got the absolute best out of Vydra, who can't buy a goal for Burnley this season

Perhaps he should go to Burnley as Dyke's assistant then.

I would not want him back - didn't want him here in the first place - he may have been successful to a limited degree, but the football was dire to watch and I want to be entertained just as much as a successful side to follow.

I think people’s dislike stems from the way he left after professing such undying commitment to DCFC...that’s the club, not you...obviously!
Might, in retrospect be a bit unfair but what’s done is done. I wanted him at PP but the football was a disappointment. As for getting the best from Vydra...he’s an enigma and the ultimate ‘confidence player’. When he gets on a run he’ll score time and time again but when the goals dry up his confidence evaporates. Been like that throughout his career and the step up to a team struggling at the top level obviously hasn’t helped.

He said he loved the club etc etc etc and then as soon as he was told there wasn't a shedload of money to spunk on crap players he did a runner.

Add to that the absolute dire football he served up and then you should get why a lot of fans have developed a rather large dislike for him.
