Mind you I did think if we are looking like going down that the fat kernt would spend .. Certainly cheaper than buying a team to get out of the Chimpo. Last time we were down there, it cost him an alleged £90m .
    didn't foresee a £20m forward though.

The £20M transfer fee is only the money he trousered from Mitro

It would be in his interest to ensure that we don't go down if the sale is being protracted.

If there was a risk of relegation then prospective buyers would dally as a sale in the Chimpo would be easily £100 million less and and his tatty advertising would have far less value to the fat slug.

Mind you it's not money lost , cos if we go down he will be gone for similar or more , so will Shelvey, Lascelles and Ritchie .
And if he is any good he will be gone for good money anyway.

    Nope.

I'll believe it when he's holding the shirt up at St. James. Even then i'll be wary of deals within deals of his deal.

We have bid £17m apparently .. They were quoting £24m + as their valuation...
So based on this method .. I have offered a local Bentley dealer £10k for a car that they value at £75000.. Fingers crossed eh.

I don't quite know where I am with this Almiron. Yes I want new signings and yes I'm desperate for us to spend money. My only problem is how much do we spend and how much wages do we offer to a player from the MLS. Let's remember Bradley Wright-Phillips left Charlton to go and completely tear up the MLS. He's been prolific in that league so actually how good will this Almiron be?

Well exactly...much as I want us to sign somebody, I think hoying all our eggs in one unproven basket is a risky business.
