    Enzio

Notts County have received a huge injury boost after it emerged winger Enzio Boldewijn is set to train ahead of schedule.

The dynamic winger suffered a serious knee injury in the 1-1 draw against Morecambe in November and had to be replaced after just 11 minutes.

It was presumed the Dutchman would not return until the middle of February, which was a blow to Notts who have missed his pace and creativity.

Having seen Lewis Alessandra also return from a serious knee injury at Colchester, Notts are starting to get some of their key players back for the second half of the season.

And Ardley says Boldewijn is making excellent progress and is pencilled in to return next week.

“We are hoping that by next week that he (Enzio) will be training fully,” said the former AFC Wimbledon boss.

“That is a real positive. It is ahead of schedule, but we are hopeful.

“That’s the plan. We also had Lewis Alessandra get time on the pitch against Colchester.

“With a bit of luck, we will have him for a bit longer next week.”

Where does he fit in though? Perhaps play him as a striker?

F*cking anywhere he likes, he's our best player by a country mile. Serious answer though I'd play him behind the strikers instead of Kellett.

I love how the EP can drag out post match interviews and release snippets as if they're breaking news by the way, this was old news on Saturday night.

I like the 3 up front of Stead or another Target man with Hemmings and Enzio, Dennis as back up. Pace to frighten teams!
In a midfield 3 it’s one of O’Brien, Vaughan, Alles, Milly and Hewitt.
