If we leave in March with no deal then we will also lose 40 trade deals with other countries which the EU has put into place.
Each one of these would have to be renegotiated. So far, with 70 days to go, we have agreed zero deals.
Liam Fox is now putting the blame on the other 40 countries saying that we are ready.
In 2017 Fox said that the UK could "replicate the 40 free trade agreements before we leave the EU", so that there would be no disruption to trade.
But with just over two months to go until Brexit, not one has been signed.
So, if we leave in March we will lose trading deals with 67 countries and have bugger all to replace them with.

Meanwhile, Boris has been on good form.

1959_60 --whatever is decided, the only thing that we can do is to make the most of it. There is absolutely no point in worryng about what might or might not happen, we just have to wait and see what happens and then react to that in our own way to carry on life as comfortably as possible.
The politicians will continue to look after their own interests, as will the banks and other financial institutions, business will go on etc. Nobody says it is going to be easy, however, when the going gets tough ---the tough get going or -----they fall by the wayside.
Meanwhile, back at the House of Commons ..............
Believe me Super, I am not worrying about it at all.
Whatever happens will hardly impact people like you and me. It will be our children and their kids who will be affected. So I do take a big interest in it.
But...what the hell has Liam Fox (Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade since 2016) been doing?
We are in danger of losing trading deals with 67 countries and so far he has negotiated none to replace them with.
And today Boris denied that he was involved in scare stories about the UK being vulnerable to 80 million Turks who might want to enter the country because Turkey was going to join the EU.
It was the work of a moment to prove that he was lying.
Some people however still look up to and admire these people.
They have no shame and their supporters have no sense.
I agree that what happens will impact our children and grandchildren, however, they have the same 'let's get on with it' attitude that I have and they will try to make the best of whatever happens.
Nothing changes really because we have all had glitches in our life and it how you deal with them that makes you the person that you are. No good worrying about what may or may not happen, particularly when you can't make it happen, just save your energy so that you can get on and deal with the consequences once it has happened.
.
Brexit !.....Nothing to Worry about !
As members of the EU we don't have any trade deals with the vast majority of the world's other economies, including the world's largest economy the USA, so leaving will have no impact on our trading with the vast majority of the world's other economies, including the world's largest the USA. While we are still members of the EU we cannot sign trade deals with anyone else, and as it becomes increasingly uncertain whether we will be actually leaving the EU, it's obvious other countries aren't going to be prioritising negotiating deals with us that may never come to fruition. Typical Remainer drivel, they do all they can to prevent Brexit, then moan about the consequences.
If/when we leave we will trade with those 67 countries under WTO rules, countries outside of the EU trade with us and each other without trade deals, it isn't a one way street, these countries want to continue trading with us as well. Businesses and economies will continue to trade with each other, whether we are in or out of the EU, whether we have trade deals or not, it's what they do.
And a pertinent question for you 59, if negotiating trade deals in preparation for leaving the EU is so important, why did/does your beloved EU flatly refuse to negotiate a trade deal with the world's 5th largest economy the UK before it leaves, despite this country's wish and desire to negotiate one alongside the withdrawal agreement, a deal that would also have negated the backstop problem ?
You said this issue was too important to play politics with, so although it looks like playing politics to me, it can't possibly have been that could it ? So what was the reason, you're appalled that we are making so little progress on trade talks, why can we not even begin trade talks with the EU ?
Fhook me, it's got round to Saturday morning and sinkov is finally talking sense. Totally agree with you word for word on this one sinkov. In truth there really is no other way of looking at it.
Does anyone seriously believe that one of the 27 other nations in the EU will stop trading with what is quite possibly their own individual country's largest trading partner? A bit of a no-brainer methinks.
