    Jordan Lyden

Villa have recalled the Aussie midfielder from a successful spell at Oldham. Deano wants to take a look at him and it should pave the way for someone else to go out on loan that isn’t ready like O Hare or RHM.

Also hearing the same is going to happen with Andre Green. Hopefully these 2 can make the step up and be consistent. Both have Premier League experience but both seem long long ago for that.

Wouldn't it be nice if a youngster came through. whelan and Jedi are getting on now so I hope someone like Lyden can make an impact. Green is an odd one. He's obviously a huge talent and at one point outshone Grealish. However something just didn't click and we never win games when he plays for some reason. I thing Bale had that problem at Spurs at 1st.

Yeah, Bongo. Bale was actually crap at first. They had him as full back or wing back and he couldn’t kick with his right foot. Spurs came close to selling him to the Blues.

Then they pushed him forward a little and he became a revelation.

Green had a brilliant preseason and Bruce used him as a forward mostly because of injuries not because Bruce is innovative. He always seemed to get lucky by being forced into change like when Keinan Davis saved his Sorry ass vs Norwich last season or when he was forced to put Bjarneson into a defensive mid role instead of the left wing back that he sucks at.

Green scored a 'blinder' in that game v Norwich last season. I do get your point though, in and out of the game and usually poor against better defenders.

As for Lyden,a big YES PLEASE from me. Only injuries and a 'tunnel vision' manager has held him back.

Son of a biscuit, what is going on in Villa training sessions now? Lansbury and Lyden both hurt. Lydens injury is nasty and has almost certainly put him on the Gary Gardner list where his Villa career is pretty much done. This sucks. Why can’t we catch a break with these youngsters?
