Many Spanish resorts are different - there's dog **** on the pavements - fish and chips - lager on top and girls have tattoos littered up their arms.

Wonder whether donkeys ( HRK and Bartley ) mix well with camels?
I can see your point Al. I always think Dubai is very ‘marmite’ folks like it or don’t. Yes, the weathers cracking, hotels are great and it’s got modern infrastructures but there’s too much new build, new money and new everything for me but everyone to their own in fairness.

Your right about some Spanish resorts but there’s still a lot of good unspoilt ones as there is with many countries. Haven’t the stag parties reached Dubai yet? Or have they been and gone? I wonder how that works in Dubai? Half pi*sed and chucking up I the street? Fair to say they won’t have the tolerance that they have on the streets of Malaga ( fair play to them)

Totally agree Stripes. If you want to get hammered in Dubai you can within the walls of the hotel within lounges or the many all inclusives that have sprouted up. I like Dubai only for the almost guarantee of hot weather - cleanliness and excellent restaurants. You can get really cheap flights and hotels too at certain times. I do get it why people totally dislike it, but I love it.

There are some beautiful Spanish resorts too if you bypass the mass market but then again, I stayed in Benidorm on a birthday party last year in the old town - beautiful small boutique hotel called Villa Venecia which was fab as were the many tapas bars and beach. So you don't have to go mass market

Well, that time in the sun definately worked wonders for the team. They were really up for the game last night, slick passing, great movement and produced one of the best performances of the season.

Maybe they should try Blackpool next year!
