If the "nasty Burnley" show up I think we can nick this.
Well things are likely to be hectic over the next few days so I am going to take the bull by the proverbial horns and get this done now. Big Dunc has done a great job steadying the Everton ship but now he passes command to Carlo Ancelotti. This man has some big pedigree and Kenwright must really have pushed the boat out to nab this 3 Times Champions League winner. Will it be a gamble that pays off? You have to say there is every chance it will compared to some of the other candidates for the Toffees post. Are you better than Arteta are you well well well. Big Dunc signed off with a goalless draw against Arteta’s new look Arsenal. Although Burnley have kept consecutive clean sheets against Newcastle and Bournemouth (not even conceded a shot on goal) I think Ancelotti will be planning a victory to begin his reign. I think 3-1. I just hope I am wrong!

They were saying on Saturday that Ancelotti won't have spent much of his time in stadiums as old-fashioned as Goodison. He won't have spent much of his time coaching against teams as old-fashioned as Burnley either, come Thursday afternoon and an old-fashioned stadium might be the least of his worries. Hopefully.
I am sure that is why they have retained Big Dunc who will tell Carlo all he needs to know about the defensive qualities of Tarks and Mee but Ancelotti must have seen some formidable centre back pairings in Italy in his time. Let’s hope Westy proves to be our Pirlo on the day and McNeil a Baggio. I fancy an Italian for Boxing Day dinner. Plenty of seasoning on that Signor Lineker?
.
....dont want a repeat of last boxing day - No Thancelotti !
We have only 1 player of any note Army, and he's not offering much going forward down the left, another dull performance from a team that desperately needs new players
Half Time
Everton 0 Dull Burnley 0

another PL Flop - an uncreative and dithering Everton V a submissive and innefective Burnley.
