their season could go either way now
Crazy decision. He seemed to be doing a solid job. Plus, he's already got a Championship promotion under his belt with Boro. Who can they realistically bring in that will do better?
Edit: just seen he asked to be released from his contract. Hmmm, I guess all isn't as rosy as it seems in Bridgford.
Oh Well always $h1te on the Reds Side of the Trent.
Why would he ask to be released from his contract?
Is that for football speak for " here, take a shed load of money, oh! and don't tell anyone anything"
I think Forest are trying to make it look like Karanka's decision, just in case their plan B doesn't work out.
Not that I look too closely at what is going on at the City ground it seemed he was doing a good job in a very tough environment.
Could never understand a word he was mumbling anyway, Gary Rowett is out of work Florist like old Derby managers...
Their owner Marinakis is a hot head. As far as he's concerned, he's written some big cheques and that should automatically deliver him the Premier League, which in the long run is more likely than not, but it doesn't happen overnight. Good teams evolve and grow, they just don't form in an instant. Even Manchester City with all their money took several years to reach the level they are at now.
The most bizarre aspect is that there was absolutely no fan pressure on the owner to force Karanka out. Quite the opposite in fact, the Forest fans were openly behind the manager, so this "mutual decision" will actually undermine the fan/owner relationship to a degree.
