agree with you Flint. He'd also be a natural to develop BPF. could stablize our keep situation for years to come.

Its an interesting one Spaldy. Management has to be thinking that promotion is a real possibility, so surely they have to buy players that can contribute in the Prem... but of course they're expensive, and we ain't got the cash right now. Not easy.
Casilla, however, seems to fit the bill. He'll either turn out to be an able 'top-league' back-up (as he is at Madrid), or possibly a first choice. Either way its a good deal.
Totally agree that he should be good for BPF. Casilla is 32, and has worked with the best coaches and players in the world, so he should be a fine mentor for Bailey. Also our GK coach is NOT an ex-keeper, so to have an experienced keeper in the training mix would be a good thing...so indeed Casilla may turn out to be a major stabilising factor.

would be nice to get one more signing in but MB has the pieces to get us up.

A few seasons back we could only dream of attracting this type of player, great news.

Excited beyond words. Quality signing and BPF will feel so lucky to be his understudy on top of the coaching from Bielsa.

Think we're getting just a little bit ahead of ourselves (and a tad over-excited too "beyond words" even!).

He might be everything the club hopes for, we will see, but to suggest that "BPF will feel so lucky" to be demoted from 1st choice keeper to "understudy" by someone who hasn't been able to command a regular 1st team place in his old club? Err, no, not if he is as competitive as I would expect ANY Leeds player to be regarding 1st team game time.

Signing a piece of paper is one thing, delivering the "manna from heaven" he seems to be expected to deliver, we will see (as and when he is deemed fit to play)

Not at all, just don't see how a third-choice gk is going to make us any better than we were against Derby, nor how replacing a gk who has been part of the third best defence in the division is a good move. You obviously know better.
