    .

it was a Big win - but all thanks to Fulham and their two own goals - and how we couldn't put 1 shot on target against the poorest defence in the PL is beyond sick - and why...with a 1 goal lead - it was decided we should sit back and soak up the pressure in the second - is beyond the bounds of sanity.

all I can say - Extremely Lucky...and with only 3 points difference from a relegation place....Very Troubling !

That's what we were missing Alfie, you can't beat a lucky team.

Five more wins and we are safe.

I reckon we will do it comfortably.

Win next week and we will be looking up the table, we could be just eight points from 7th place!

You really are a nervous lot. The result was never in doubt and we worked hard for it.
McNeil picked up a knock late in the first half (he was nobbled!!) and this affected much of the game in the second half because Barnes had also got a knock early in the second half which is why it took as long as it did to bring Vokes on. He was readied and then told to sit down again because they were checking on Barnes but he said that he would run it off.
THe problem was that, because fo the injuries and Brady's suspension we were struggling for someone to come on for McNeil and credit to the lad for sticking it out because he was playing on instinct for the last 15 minutes plus added time.

Easy to forget that this Fulham team beat us 2-4 at the start of the season after we had just returned from Greece. They had a dream start today with a good goal, as they did at Craven Cottagewith a worldy by Seri, however, we stuck at it and ground out the win. Second league game in succession we have come from behind to win which is good going.
Some fans are still expecting far too much from a team that is slowly building up confidence after a difficult first half of the season.
We have played 3 games in the second half of the season and won all three, scoring 6 and conceding 2. Support the lads and accept their efforts because they are trying hard to keep us up.

I forgot to mention that, since April 1951 and before today, Fulham have played at the Turf 31 times ----winning 0 drawing 6 and losing 25 ---this is why I never had any doubt that we would win today!

Sounded like the conditions had a massive effect today Super?

We had the strong wind and driving rain to our backs in the first half and Fulham had it in the second.

The other way round 1959_60 ---it was in our face during the first half and in Fulham's in the second.
It was a lousy day with incessant rain which actually made the pitch quite slow with the ball picking up water as it rolled along the deck. I just wish that it had been one of the old leather balls to see how the players would have coped with that! lol
Mind you, this game would have been abandoned a few seasons ago before the pitch was relaid.
Just how far have we come?

You need to get off your arse Alf and go and watch them in real time. The lads dug in, the weather was atrocious and we won. Nothing absolute absolute absolute dog Schite about our performance, the lads they gave it all they had and I will never ask anymore than that.
