It was a dire game, but we never looked like losing it. In fact, we looked more like the home team, with Millwall working very hard to press us deep in our own half. I thought we came across as quite calmly in control for the last hour - and that was against a team that had won four in a row.
TM surprises everyone (again!!) with team-selection - including only one defender on the bench.

Only watched the second half ,but you were far the better team.. Onwards and upwards ,your man Mowbrey is a decent guy and manager and the play offs are a possibility..

The first half was a football desert, Alf. In the second half, I think a bit more self-belief gradually filtered through. I could see Mowbray getting more and more frustrated on the sideline - presumably because we were being too cautious. Quite brave to play the last 20 minutes with three strikers.
Millwall puzzled me. They had won four in a row, but appeared to be playing for a nil-nil throughout the game!

A hard working performance against a team of spoilers
Probably the best I have seen lenihan perform, alongside him was a very mature display by rodwell.
Tony Mowbray made a brave team selection and it worked perfectly
2 wins on the bounce and we are looking up the league instead of over our shoulders.

If we had gone down there and played our normal game, we'd have probably lost.
They bring teams down to their level. And make the game scrappy. They have done that well in the past 4 games prior to ours.
So it was very clever management. We played them at their own game. We roughed, we scrapped. We fought. And we crucially stopped them from having one shot all game. Not one.
And for once, we got the bit of luck which we ...imo ...had earnt. Brilliant subsituations changed the complexion of the game before we scored anyway.

    A great 3 points.

Travis was immense again. And I thought Rodwell looked very solid next to Lenihan.
