It wasn’t pretty. We did though hold the line and defend just well enough.

A lot of misplaced passes. I’m not sure about nesbitt, either wasteful or not match fit yet

After the goal we were actually most comfortable. Improved as game went on.

We need to massively improve performance but the points were everything yesterday

    In Robbie we trust

Yesterday was marginally less brutal than last week but at least we won. We seemed in the first half to move the ball quicker but with no real product. Defence and midfield (particularly Fyvie) gave the ball away cheaply more often than I could count.Fortunately the big difference to the Partick game was that the team seem determined to keep fighting when previously they'd have settled for a draw. I'd particularly like to thank the Dunfermline support for their part in yesterday's victory. Their bating of Clark about his dad gave him that extra incentive to get it right up them.

I think we hold the line far too deep. No real movement out when we clear our lines. That needs a commanding voice and player. Midfield always slow things down. This may be due to other players not providing options for the pass. Watching teams play three passes from their box to ours quickly and I think, why can't we do that.

It wasn't great, can't remember either keeper having to make much saves, end of the day it's 3pts and that's all that matters at the moment.

Updated league table since Robbie took over

    Dundee United 25
    Ross County 22
    QOS 20
    Alloa 19
    Morton 18
    Ayr United 17
    Inverness 15
    Falkirk 14
    D,fmline 13
    Partick 7

And that is during a period when we we know big changes are required

Think if we now actually hit a bit of form, new faces make a difference, Nicky Clark goes on a scoring run etc

This is the best chance we have had to get out of this division.

It’s unfair to expect a massive improvement in performance when it’s the same pool of players. We could release double figures today and it wouldn’t have any detrimental effect.

Main thing is Neilson has taken a squad who’d picked up 11 points in 8 games and has managed to get 25 points from 13. If we sustain that level between now and end of season or even better improve on it we’re guaranteed top 2.

I don't think anyone was expecting a 'massive' improvement. The fact that this team can't string 3 passes together is a worry.
