    The Ďabilityí of Thomas?

    I keep reading..

Thomas has ability but not enough application.

Please can someone explain to me his ability? Because all I see is a lack of ability in everything he does.

From what I can see ..

    He canít ..

    Tackle
    Mark / follow a player
    Head
    Pass
    Influence a game
    Score

He adds nothing to the team

    He doesnít:

    Prevent conceding goals
    Assist goals
    Score goals

No one could do worse than him, because he achieves nothing when he .,

    Plays a full game
    Half a game
A few minutes of a game

    Agreed.

Yesterday was one of the worst sub appearances I've seen.

Having been a fan of Thomas when he has shown fleeting glimpses of his ability, sadly, I have to agree. A player we can no longer afford to carry, as several others are.

But what was this ability? Even in fleeting glimpses? What attributes gave you a positive impression?

Iím genuinely interested to try and unpick this players mystique .. what (even occasionally) was he good at doing?

If I was him, I would wake up every day full of excitement and enthusiasm because his life as a professional footballer are clearly numbered. I hope he has a good education to fall back on, for whatever career he decides to try next.

    He shouldnít be ..

    In our team
    In the squad
    At Notts in any capacity
    At Sheffield United
    At Sheffield FC

Send him back to where he came from . He's absolutely abysmal.

I can remember one good free kick goal, but not much else to be fair. He looked better as one of a front three in a 4-3-3 than he did as a "chalk on your boots winger", which is what he described himself to be at the start of the season. Problem is, he misses too many chances.

Think itís based more on his good season are Hartlepool which got him his move to Sheff U than anything thatís happened here.

And all three managers have indulged him despite him being a known troublemaker, whoís sulked whenever heís been subbed and even during games.

Oh, and he did have a decent game in our last win (Tranmere) a month ago. But heís the one player I think we can all agree on - they should send him back to Sheffield just to boost morale, as much as for anything else.
