Yeah it's either that we thought we could get by without him at that point and wanted to go back on it, only to later decide to keep him, or it would have triggered a longer contract or higher wage had he played in that amount of games before a deadline that then passed and we could play him again after... Pretty stupid if it's the former and we didn't want to trigger signing him and ruled out starting him (in a game where David Vaughan played on the f*cking wing) only to then change our minds and trigger it anyway
