    McManus moves on

The club has announced the departure of Stephen McManus after a five year spell at Fir Park. He's off to take up a coaching position with Celtic.

Suggest tad harsh considering his impact when playing and elected to play our level 5 years.
He brought on a number young central defenders (Hutchison, McGuire) who suggest benefited his advice
Another backroom member sorry to see leave. Anyone else seeing a pattern ... Craigan and now McManus.
Whose next ... get our groundsman on 5 year deal

Craigan didn’t leave for football reasons, McManus may have benefited some of the younger players but his input as defence coach with regard to corner kicks and set plays against us was shocking and our goals against column proves that.

You assume or know reason behind departures and I'm suggesting perhaps problems exist ... it happens.
STATS ... FFS I just watch and expect to be entertained. Stats never enter my head when watch McHugh caught on ball or witness Donnelly caught wrong side again. I could list many but forgotten due my dementia. You're blaming the coaching staff for poor defending and not the fact simply crap defenders who no matter how long coach never absorb and we get what we can afford or nurture. We agree McManus may have assisted the latter.

Why not .. they apparently rate our coaching staff highly as lured them away over the years, i.e. Adams, McCart and now McManus. Wemust be doing something right and now it’s back to drawing/recruitment board
