    Has Ashley overstretched himself financially

I'm talking about on a personal basis at the expense of this club.

It's been said for years from many sources that his wealth IS NOT IN CASH but is in share values.

It does seem that monies coming in to this club have been a cash cow for him and now that his share prices and investments have tumbled in an alarming fashion to almost danger point his best option is to raise cash by the sale of this club.

It does appear odd that he makes huge personal purchases at the times the Sky monies etc are available when every other club in the country is investing in squad value.

I think it would be very revealing if a company of investigating, detective style auditors had access to all of the facts and figures since he took over our club.

I said the same thing the other day , debenhams shares struggling , hof costing him £3m a week , sports direct shares sitting around the £2.70 atm .. His cash is drying up.
My concern was if we go down there will be a fire sale and no investment .
We had a huge wage bill last time in the chimpo, and he spent to get out at first attempt , this time (if it happens) I fear the big spend won't take place .

All the more reason for him to get the best price/deal for the club and put a few bucks into his pockets before he needs to do deals with the food banks.

If you had a number of business's and all but one of them didn't make you actual cash (as opposed to share value/fluctuation etc) but were in fact losing you virtual cash. And your one business that made you millions of" lubbly jubbly readies" every year, would you sell it??

No! unless someone was prepared to pay way over the clubs value.

    They haven't and they won't.

    No, they won't.

We're not worth anywhere near the £300 mil fatso's asking. He wants to recoup his loan and make a profit.

    Not happening at £300 mil.

At least Ellis Short scrubbed the club's debt to him even if he did negotiate the parachute payments still due to them going to him instead. Not sure if the mackems know that? I was talking to the head of the consortium of local businessmen who were going to buy them and he said that Short changed his mind at the 11th hour and sold it to Donald because of the parachute payments agreement.

    Aye, fair shout Pat.

But if we're thing keeping his other stuff afloat he won't sell us.

If we go down i reckon TBS is probs right about him not paying to go back up, which will mean our value will drop more but i bet he'll keep his price at £300 million.
