    Forget about it, it aint gonna happen. We wont be able to afford the transfer fee, nor his wages and in any case some bigger fish will snap him up.

    Not that I know of if we are talking about the same one that was built on the site of the old Manor Farm at Upper Haugh. But actually, casting my mind back I do seem to remember the sign used to say Marquis of ???? (Rockingham?)

    It wasn't the Marquis of Granby, but it is a popular name that dates back to the Napoleonic wars, the Marquis of Granby gave money to ex-servicemen to set up beer stalls.
